How to keep the server room cool with the right channel racks?

It is fairly simple to handle the server rooms of large multi channel companies with thousands of computers as they would have a budget and the resources to take care of the job. However, the real challenge is to keep balance of temperature and functions in the server room of a medium or small company as they would not have the budge to supply custom built systems. Here are a few things to look out for other than the rack itself such as rack 19 to keep the server room cool.

  • Elevated floor: Does the server room have an elevated floor? If not cooling is going to be tough! However, that is not the end of the world. Hot-cold aisles in several configurations can do the job quite well.
  • Channel racks: It is very important to seek professional assistance while choosing your channel racks. These racks, if well suited, play a major role in keeping the server cool.
  • Power Load: As simple as this sounds, reducing the power load can be tricky but achievable. This will drastically bring the temperatures down.
